How this estimator works
We treat your patio as one rectangle and feed its length and width into the paver, gravel, and sand calculators at once. The paver count and joint sand come from the paver math; the base gravel and bedding sand come from the volume calculators using your chosen depths. The bill of materials below is the union of all three — no switching between tabs.

How much does a paver patio cost in materials?

Can I use the same depth for base and bedding?
No — they are different layers. The base is 4–8 inches of compacted gravel; the bedding is a fixed 1-inch screed of sand directly under the pavers. This tool keeps them separate on purpose.
